FOUR reasons why Paule Villard should be reelected to North Miami Beach government:
Villard is the current commissioner since 2018. She is a retired police sergeant. Her leadership on the commission represents a break from past failures.
• Under her “leadership”, crime in the city of North Miami Beach is at its lowest in 20 years according to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program and at its highest when her opponent was in office (2007 and before).
• Under her “leadership”, property tax rates and water rates were lowered while legacy politicians on the commission voted against these decreases. The property tax millage rate this year is at its lowest in 20 years!
• Under her “leadership”, expensive “outsourcing” schemes to eliminate local jobs to out of town contractors is over and the NMB Water was restored to in-house control (the outsourcing deal was investigated by the FBI).
• Under her “leadership”, after decades waiting and political promises broken the city has received its first Senior Center at 16501 NE 15 Avenue (former Singer Building) and the Washington Park community center is finally being renovated and expanded (Resolution No. 2021-121, 2022-121).
